I co-led our team from strategy through design and launch. I helped develop the positioning platform of Friendly Midwestern meets Cultured Cosmopolitan destination. I also designed the runner up concept, and directed the final work through launch. The visual identity is a reflection of what Kansas City has become known for over the past decade: A vibrant creative crossroads with a world-class arts and entertainment scene. The brand elements remain grounded in the city’s welcoming Midwestern values. Following the launch we also created a special campaign for Visit KC when the city hosted the MLB All-Star’s game.
